Representatives of the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Alliance gathered again in front of the executive building on Friday morning, continuing calls for acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti to attend the parliamentary session for the establishment of the new legislature.

This time, elected representatives from local government were also present, specifically municipal councilors from Prizren and Suhareka.
Dardan Berisha, a PDK assembly member in Suhareka, spoke first and harshly criticized Kurti for lack of support for municipalities.
He emphasized that previous administrations, despite having more limited funds, managed to spur the country’s development. According to him, the current budget is not being distributed at the local level and the government aims to centralize municipal power.
Adem Morina, a PDK councilor in Prizren, described the blocking of municipal budgets as an unjustifiable action and a serious stain on the country’s image before international partners.
He said that this blockade imposed by Kurti is not only harming central institutions but is paralyzing all local mechanisms. Morina called this behavior unnecessary and harmful to citizens and demanded the immediate unblocking of the state.
Meanwhile, Genc Prelvukaj from the PDK leadership focused on the difficulties that various segments of the population are experiencing due to the executive chief’s stances.
He declared that for the Vetëvendosje Movement and Kurti, the priority is not the well-being of citizens but the clash with the opposition. Prelvukaj mentioned the worsening economic crisis for families, the lack of work tools, and the daily sacrifices of police officers and miners, stressing that the only thing the ruling party cares about is venting ego and political conflict instead of compromise.
Alliance MP Time Kadrijaj leveled serious accusations against the Vetëvendosje leader, claiming that he is waging a hybrid war against the opposition through paramilitary groups named “Lule” and “Gjela”.
She added that these anonymous accounts are used to denigrate and intimidate anyone who is not part of the Vetëvendosje Movement. Kadrijaj openly challenged Kurti, telling him that she will not be intimidated and that true heroes come out with real identities. She warned that with the advancement of technology, the perpetrators of these campaigns will be exposed and that some have already repented before the justice authorities.
The action of PDK and Alliance MPs has now entered its fourth week, with the main demand for the immediate constitution of the Assembly and the creation of new institutions.
