During a session of the Kosovo Assembly marking the tenth anniversary of Astrit Dehari’s death, Alliance lawmaker Besnik Tahiri called for the case to be resolved and for institutions to be held accountable.
Tahiri said the Alliance’s parliamentary group is seeking answers from the state and the justice system about the case and is making all its institutional resources available.

Speaking from the Assembly podium, he called for justice for Astrit and accountability from the governing majority. According to Tahiri, although this majority has governed for six years and won more than 50 percent of the vote, it has not presented even a single piece of evidence to the Assembly about what happened. He said such information would allow citizens, Dehari’s family, lawmakers and colleagues to understand the circumstances.
The lawmaker called for the issue not to be politicized but to be handled by the relevant institutions. He also called for accountability from those who have been in power over the past six years, stressing that the Alliance seeks both justice and accountability.
