Julia and Lorenzo have been announced as the winners of the 13th season of Love Island, winning the £50,000 prize after the public vote.

The news was delivered by presenter Maya Jama during the show’s finale.
Jasmin and Kavan came in second place, while Simba and Angelista finished third.
The finale was accompanied by an unexpected elimination, as Yasmin and Tommy left the villa shortly before the announcement of the three finalist couples.
They were chosen to be eliminated by the couple Mica and Samraj, who had left earlier. It was the first time in the show’s history that a couple was eliminated during the finale itself.
After leaving, Tommy said he was happy to have found the right person on the show, and Yasmin described her Love Island experience as the best of her life, saying she had learned a lot about herself and made new friendships.
She admitted the elimination was a surprise, but believed it was the right decision based on the couples remaining in the competition.
