During searches of the home, police found a handwritten letter that was approximately 7–8 pages long. In it, the 33-year-old described the reasons that, according to her, had driven her to this tragic act.

The letter was addressed to her husband, Manoj Bangad, who works as an engineer for an information technology company in Pune.

According to reports in the local media, the woman asked her husband to remarry after her death and continue with his life. She expressed concern that their son would struggle deeply with the loss of his mother and would repeatedly ask where she was.

The letter also mentioned fears that caring for a child could make it more difficult for her husband to remarry.

In her letter, Ekta Bangad also wrote about her long-term health problems and the difficulties caused by the illness from which she suffered.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident and are analyzing the letter, along with the circumstances that preceded the tragedy. Investigators aim to fully establish what happened, while relatives and the public in India have been left shocked.
