A local photographer filmed the moment a teenage lifeguard entered the water to help the boy, who was trapped amid powerful waves. He managed to reach the child, but strong currents and large waves made it difficult for them to return to shore.
After several tense moments, a second lifeguard joined the rescue operation. Working together, they managed to bring the boy safely back to shore.
The rescue took place on July 25, and the footage quickly spread across social media. The teenager’s courage also caught the attention of US President Donald Trump.
In a post on the “Truth Social” platform, Trump praised the young man for his courageous actions and announced that he wanted to welcome him to the White House.
