The mayor of Skopje, Orce Gjorgjievski, announced that a major environmental cleanup campaign will begin tomorrow, September 30, at 10:00 a.m.

According to his announcement on social media, several thousand volunteers are expected to take part in the campaign, which will cover all of Skopje and all of its municipalities.
The municipalities and their mayors, embassies, students, athletes, public figures and citizens will participate in the campaign. The initiative aims to create a cleaner and more orderly environment in Skopje’s neighborhoods.
“Tomorrow, September 30, at 10:00 a.m., we are launching the largest environmental cleanup campaign in Skopje, with several thousand volunteers and a shared goal—to show how much we can accomplish when we are united and turn our love for our city into action,” Gjorgjievski wrote.
The mayor of Skopje called on residents to join the initiative and invite their friends, neighbors and colleagues as well.
“Let us roll up our sleeves and, together, take care of the streets we walk on every day, the parks where our children grow up and the neighborhoods we call home,” he said.
