Street vendors operating around Bit Pazar in Skopje were removed during a joint operation by police and inspection services. The Food and Veterinary Agency announced that around 500 kilograms of food were confiscated as part of the operation.

The intervention was carried out in the areas near the market, where illegal traders set up makeshift stalls, particularly on days with heavier customer traffic.
The operation involved members of the Ministry of Interior, inspectors from the Food and Veterinary Agency, municipal inspectors from the City of Skopje and the State Market Inspectorate. The stalls occupying the area were removed, mainly those selling fruit and vegetables, along with the equipment used for trading on pedestrian and bicycle paths. Misdemeanor measures have been announced against the identified vendors.
