The Special Court of First Instance against Corruption and Organized Crime has rejected Ilir Meta’s request to replace his “detention in prison” security measure.

At today’s hearing, the court rejected both the request for his release or the easing of his security measure and the request for Meta to leave the glass cage and sit beside his defense lawyer.
The decision by GJKKO upholds the prison detention of the leader of the Freedom Party, who will remain in his cell during the investigation.
