The serious incident that occurred today in the village of Demiraj, Gjilan, in which two people lost their lives, prompted a response from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Donika Gërvalla.
In a Facebook post, she said the tragedy had shaken Gjilan and society as a whole. Gërvalla stressed that the family should be the safest place for everyone, grounded in love, harmony, care and protection.

“Any event that undermines this security requires immediate institutional attention and response,” Gërvalla wrote.
She called for the circumstances of the case to be investigated fully and without delay, in order to uncover the truth and enable the responsible institutions to act in accordance with the law.
Gërvalla concluded her response by expressing her sincere condolences to the victims’ family members and relatives.
