A fire broke out on Wednesday in the village of Voskopoja, precisely at the place called “Antenat”.

As soon as the alarm spread, two firefighting vehicles were deployed toward the flames, specifically a large truck and a pick-up type van with personnel ready for action.
Due to the rough terrain, the main firefighting vehicle could not get close to the fire source, so the teams continued on foot to reach the point affected by the fire. Personnel from the Administrative Unit of Voskopoja and employees of the Forestry Service are also involved in this mission.
Initial data indicates that a group of forces has already begun work to contain the flames, while the rest of the team is approaching the area to join the operation.
The action plan for fully extinguishing the fire will be decided later, once the fire service chief conducts a detailed assessment of the situation at the scene.
