The fire in the Trodhne area, part of the Ulëz administrative unit in Mat Municipality, remains active, creating an alarming situation. The flames engulfed several shepherds’ compounds overnight, burning huts, livestock shelters and a home.

The situation remains critical today, although a helicopter has been conducting aerial operations in the affected areas for the past four days, working until late in the evening.
Another fire broke out last night in the village of Mallunxë, in Mat’s Lis administrative unit. Firefighters and civil emergency personnel are on the ground and are trying to contain the flames, which are also threatening homes.
The situation is also serious in Bulqizë Municipality. The fire on Mount Lepuri remains active, while efforts are underway to bring it under control.
