Fears over student protests prompt cancellation of parliamentary session! PS lawmakers leave Parliament

The plenary session of Parliament, scheduled for 10:00 today, has been canceled as Tirana continues to face protests and tensions.

At around 9:00, PS lawmakers were seen leaving Parliament. They said the session had been canceled but gave no explanation.

The decision follows two days of protests during which university and high school students have boycotted classes and taken to the streets. The gatherings have been accompanied by clashes, acts of violence, and damage to institutions and private businesses.
