Through a statement, the DUI has accused VLEN, claiming that the political force acted contrary to almost all the commitments it had made to Albanian citizens.

“During the election campaign, VLEN declared that it would not enter government even if it were short of just one vote for victory. Moreover, it promised to withdraw from politics. However, it is now clear that the exact opposite happened. Although it lost the election, VLEN became part of the government and overturned almost every commitment it had made to Albanian citizens through its actions. It promised dignity and representation, but ended up as a complete instrument of VMRO-DPMNE and policies that favor the expansion of the influence of the so-called ‘Serbian world.’
According to the DUI, for two years the European Parliament’s report has raised concerns about the growing influence of the “Serbian world” in the Republic of North Macedonia, clearly emphasizing that these policies are being promoted by representatives of the government. The party stresses that this is no longer a matter of opposition assessments, but rather conclusions reached by the most important European institutions; therefore, these warnings cannot be minimized or ignored by anyone.
According to the DUI, the facts are clear: from Ivan Stoilković’s political weight and influence in the government, to his public statements that he had ‘saved’ VLEN representatives from political disgrace; from his close ties with the political structures of Milorad Dodik, to agreements in the energy sector with companies linked to his interests; as well as from the growing presence of Serbian banking capital in the country, to a series of institutional decisions that have paved the way for strengthening this influence. According to the party, all these elements create a picture that cannot be denied.
The statement says it is no coincidence that, alongside this influence, the systematic undermining of the Ohrid Agreement is also continuing through decisions by the Constitutional Court and the policies of this government without ethnic legitimacy. The DUI maintains that VLEN is not standing outside this process as an observer, but is serving to camouflage and relativize it, while also participating in the implementation of policies that affect the collective rights of Albanians and the spirit on which the state was built after 2001.
The DUI emphasizes that the people who are now also being mentioned by European institutions as promoters or facilitators of the influence of the “Serbian world” cannot evade responsibility by using slander, propaganda and attacks against the opposition. According to the party, political noise cannot conceal the truth.
“Albanian citizens are following these developments closely. They can clearly distinguish between those who promised one thing and then did the opposite, those who pledged dignity but brought submission, and those who promised to protect the national interest but became a shield for policies that harm it. Citizens will deliver their verdict on this political and moral deception,” the DUI said./Telegrafi/
