The passenger had passed through the green channel, indicating that he had no goods to declare to customs authorities. However, he was selected for inspection and his luggage was scanned.

After the scanner images raised suspicions about the contents of the suitcase, a customs officer conducted a physical inspection. Inside the luggage, officers discovered one (1) disassembled .177-caliber “FB Record” air pistol, wrapped in aluminum foil and clothing to keep it concealed.

The weapon was seized and handed over to the Border Police at Pristina Airport for further action. Meanwhile, the relevant administrative and legal procedures will be initiated against the passenger.

Kosovo Customs said it would continue its efforts to protect the borders of the Republic of Kosovo and prevent prohibited or smuggled goods from entering the country. It emphasized that it works closely with the relevant institutions to ensure public safety and enforce the legislation in force.
