Police have released a massive amount of tear gas, completely shrouding the sky and the boulevard in thick gas-filled smoke. Chemical agents are being deployed indiscriminately and without any control throughout the protest area.
Despite being sprayed with water and the intensive use of tear gas across the entire central area, protesters are not retreating and continue to resist the police cordons on the boulevard.
