At a press conference with journalists, Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha accused the government of pressuring its representatives over the positions they take on social media regarding the protest.

Berisha said that a body had been created which he sarcastically described as the “Balla Commission.”
According to him, this commission is monitoring the social media posts of government representatives with the aim of identifying those who have not posted against the civic youth movement, which takes to the streets every day to protest against the government.
Berisha said that the “first victim” of this commission would be Niko Peleshi. He claimed that Taulant Balla considers Peleshi to have been “naive” toward the youth movement because he has not posted against it.
“Panic, terror and fear in the government camp. The Balla Commission has been created; it is a commission that is checking the social media posts of the nomenklatura to identify those who have not posted against the civic youth movement. The first victim of the Balla Commission will be Niko Peleshi, who, according to Balla, has been naive toward the civic youth movement and has no posts against them on his social media. Peleshi is expected to be swiftly replaced by Balla; when all is said and done, Balla is all he has left. Will there be other victims? There will be, but they will be without consequences, so they are not worth mentioning,” Berisha said.
