The Police Oversight Agency, AMP, carried out an operation codenamed “The Final Bet” this Tuesday, aimed at cracking down on a suspected illegal activity in the field of gambling and sports betting.
The inspections were conducted at the premises of a bar-cafe owned by a citizen identified by the initials A.S., in the area known as the “Farmers’ Market,” near Fushë-Krujë, following information obtained by AMP’s Operational Intelligence structures, according to the official statement.

During the intervention, officers seized four electronic computer devices, four monitors, as well as server equipment and other technological components, which are suspected to have been used for the illegal organization and operation of sports betting.
According to AMP, the initial investigative and procedural actions are continuing in order to fully document the suspected activity, identify the persons involved, and verify any possible cases of favoritism, failure to act, or involvement by State Police employees or other entities under its oversight.
The investigation has been launched to fully clarify the suspected illegal activity, determine individual responsibilities, and bring before the law every person found to be involved.
In its response, AMP once again underlined its commitment to identifying, preventing, and cracking down on any illegal activity supported or facilitated by employees of the structures under its oversight, while ensuring impartial investigations in accordance with the law.
