Viktor Buzhala has reacted to the latest developments concerning the opening of the main bridge over the Ibar River, which has remained closed and separated Kosovo from Serbia for 27 years. He interpreted the development as an achievement in Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s favor.

In a Facebook post, Buzhala commented ironically on Kurti’s relationship with the European Union, claiming that the prime minister had managed to persuade the EU to open the bridge as well.
“Albin is gradually winning over even the European Union. Imagine, he managed to persuade them to open, after 27 years, a bridge that had been designated to serve as a border crossing between Kosovo and Serbia until 2020,” he wrote, according to “Bota Sot.”
His reaction came after the European Union confirmed that the necessary conditions had been met for the opening of the main bridge over the Ibar River in Mitrovica.
This confirmation followed KFOR’s decision to begin a gradual transition of its permanent military presence at this location.
