In a social media post, Koçiu expressed concern about the situation in the capital, particularly because of the presence of young people and minors in the violent scenes.
She stressed that children’s safety cannot be relegated to the background because of any political conflict, while underscoring that every parent wants to see their child return home safe and sound.
“Regardless of our political beliefs, we all share the same concern: the safety and future of our children.
The violence seen on the streets of Tirana is worrying, especially when young people and minors are involved.
Young people should have the opportunity to protest, express their views and seek a better future. However, no one should push them toward violence or exploit them for political battles.
Every parent wants their child to return home safe and sound at the end of the day.
No political confrontation is more important than the lives, safety and future of our children,” Koçiu wrote on Facebook.
