The reports come immediately after the signing of a “framework agreement” between the two countries, which provides for a cessation of hostilities, the opening of negotiations for a comprehensive peace agreement, as well as cooperation on issues related to the return of bodies and the release of prisoners.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio described the agreement as a “first step” toward stabilizing relations between the sides.
So far, Israeli and Lebanese authorities have not officially confirmed the reports of the bombardments in Markaba.
