A shooting incident has been recorded at a high school in Bavaria, Germany, leaving several people injured.
Bavarian police said the episode took place at the Welfen-Gymnasium high school in the city of Schongau, while a 16-year-old suspected of being linked to the attack has been arrested.

According to police confirmation, two girls suffered serious injuries, while the exact number of injured people has not yet been determined. German media, including Bild, report that the number of injured is below ten.
Investigators are also examining the possibility that the incident may be classified as a so-called “Amoklauf,” a term used in Germany for violent acts carried out in an uncontrolled manner against people present at the scene.
Schongau is a small town in western Bavaria with around 12,000 residents, while the Welfen-Gymnasium school, where the incident occurred, is attended by around 800 students.
Meanwhile, authorities have opened an investigation to clarify the motives and all the full circumstances of this incident.
