In a rebuttal, the institution said reports published by several media outlets were inaccurate and misleading. According to Parliament’s clarification, the procedure concerns systematic and preventive medical check-ups, which the law requires employers to provide at least once every 24 months.
Parliament stressed that the public procurement procedure was launched for specific healthcare services, not for the purchase of private insurance policies.
The institution also said such check-ups are not new, as similar procedures have been carried out in previous years. Parliament asked the media outlets that published the information to correct it and publish the rebuttal.
