According to a statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the case was reported on August 17, at around 3:20 p.m., in the Aerodrom Municipality area of Skopje.
V.A. (26), D.A. (27), and S.S., all from Skopje, are suspected of committing the criminal offenses of “extortion” and “violence,” punishable under Articles 258 and 386 of the Criminal Code.
Initial investigations indicate that the confrontation stemmed from an earlier unresolved obligation between the parties in their capacity as debtor and creditor. The suspects allegedly assaulted the 28-year-old and subsequently threatened him and his family.
During the measures taken, police detained V.A. and D.A., while a central warrant was issued for S.S.
Authorities also collected material evidence related to the case. The two detained individuals were brought before a preliminary-proceedings judge.
After reviewing the case, the court imposed 30 days of house arrest on V.A., while precautionary measures were ordered against D.A. S.S. was placed in pretrial detention in absentia.
The case is being handled by the Violent Crime Unit at the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector, in cooperation with the Skopje Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The suspects are presumed innocent until a final court decision is issued.
