Following DUI’s call for early parliamentary elections, the VLEN coalition has reacted by criticizing Ali Ahmeti’s party for its inability to function outside government.

“The opposition has worn DUI out. This party does not know how to function without power,” VLEN said in its response. According to the coalition, DUI has abused its power and benefited from public money and tenders.
VLEN says that current attention should be focused on infrastructure projects, including Corridor 8, the Skopje–Blace road and the Tetovo–Prizren road. “These projects are far more important to us than elections and power,” the statement said.
As for the elections, the coalition said that DUI would lose regardless of when they are held. “DUI will end up humiliated by Albanians,” VLEN said, claiming that Albanians no longer trust a “corrupt caste” and an outdated political approach. “DUI’s time is over,” VLEN’s response concluded.
