Acting President Albulena Haxhiu met today with the newly appointed head of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Antero Lopes.

During the meeting, Haxhiu highlighted EULEX’s contribution to supporting Kosovo’s institutions in strengthening the rule of law, as well as in monitoring the justice system.
She also emphasized the need for the mission’s engagement in matters of major importance, including cases of violence against women and domestic violence.
Haxhiu wished Lopes success in his new role and expressed confidence that cooperation between the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and EULEX would continue to contribute to consolidating the rule of law and the country’s institutions.
