The acting President of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, has announced that on Friday she will publish the date for the constitutive session of the Assembly. According to her, the meeting is expected to be organized within the first week of August.

In a late appearance on Tuesday in Prizren, she stressed that she will make the official announcement on Friday to specify the exact moment of the session. Haxhiu explained that she has not rushed to set the date, in order to give political entities the necessary space to discuss the election of the next president.
She has positively evaluated the meetings so far, mentioning the talks held between the Prime Minister and current leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, with representatives of PDK and LDK. However, Haxhiu recalled that the Democratic League of Kosovo has temporarily suspended these meetings due to internal issues, but she did not want to interfere in the affairs of other parties, stressing the importance of restarting the dialogue as soon as possible to reach an agreement on the new president.
Regarding speculations about a secret agreement between Albin Kurti and Lumir Abdixhiku for the formation of institutions, including the issue of the president, Haxhiu categorically dismissed them. She confirmed that in the last meeting, Prime Minister Kurti, Minister of Finance Hekuran Murati, and on the other side Abdixhiku and Vjosa Osmani Sadriu were present, but stressed that the talks focused on the next steps, without finalizing any concrete agreement.
