VLEN has welcomed the authorities’ immediate response and the launch of proceedings to determine responsibility for the serious situation in Gostivar.

According to VLEN, anyone who contributed to creating this scandal, whether through their actions or failure to act, must be brought to justice.
The party said negligence and mismanagement had endangered the health of thousands of Gostivar residents and that the case must not go without accountability, as has happened many times before. VLEN expects an independent, detailed and comprehensive investigation that will fully clarify the case.
VLEN also praised the efforts of all relevant central-level institutions to assist the citizens of Gostivar. Those affected are being provided with the necessary medical treatment, while the supply of drinking water will continue until the problem is permanently resolved.
According to VLEN, this situation once again demonstrates the cost of years of mismanagement, which citizens are now bearing: Gostivar has been left without drinking water, while Zajas has been left without sewerage.
