Dr. Arben Taravari, the leader of the Alliance for Albanians (ASh), stated that the Albanian community has never had such a weak and dysfunctional presence in the executive since the early 1990s. According to him, the current influence in the government is lower than ever before.
Taravari emphasized that ordinary citizens cannot even identify the key figures holding state positions. He challenged public opinion by suggesting a quick survey to verify this claim. According to his estimates, an overwhelming majority, around 70 to 80 percent of people, would fail to name the two ministers of Albanian origin in the government cabinet, describing them as completely anonymous personalities.

Comparing them to their predecessors, the ASh leader noted that former Albanian ministers enjoyed authority and respect, while today’s incumbents are completely lost in the departments they are supposed to lead. He made these comments during an interview with the media outlet “vestimak.mk”, which was also broadcast by Lajm newspaper and Lajm.tv.
He did not stop only at the ministerial level. Taravari also levelled strong accusations about the lack of accountability among their deputies and about flagrant cases of unacceptable behavior by a senior administration official. He mentioned that there are deputy ministers about whom the public has no information, and who practically never set foot in their offices, or appear there once a week.
Furthermore, he denounced the specific case of a deputy prime minister who has been absent from the country for a three-month period, without providing any official explanation for his reasons or whereabouts, while continuing to receive a full salary. Taravari used these statements as an illustration to demonstrate the deep dysfunction of the current representatives in the administration led by Mickovski.
