Two police officers from Police Station No. 3 in Tirana were caught red-handed by the Police Oversight Agency, on suspicion of passive corruption and abuse of office.
Proceedings against them began immediately after footage was posted on social media on July 16, 2026, showing the officers allegedly carrying out corrupt acts while on duty.

Two General Patrol inspectors, identified as D. B., 25, and E. K., 23, were arrested. They are accused of the criminal offences of “Passive Corruption” and “Abuse of Office”, committed in collaboration.
According to the Police Oversight Agency, intensive investigative actions are being carried out under the direction of the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office to document the criminal responsibility of other individuals involved in the incident. The procedural materials have been submitted to the prosecution for further action.
