GROM has announced that party leader Stevce Jakimovski has voluntarily presented himself to begin serving the six-and-a-half-month prison sentence.
The party expressed deep dissatisfaction with the Criminal Court, which, according to them, convicted the GROM leader for the construction of two temporary structures, namely barracks, where the municipality has operated for 13 years.

According to GROM, Jakimovski did not cause harm to anyone, while the municipality saved one and a half million euros in rent over these years, as otherwise it would have had to use rented premises. They also emphasize that this is the only case in Europe where a person will serve an effective prison sentence for, as they describe it, the fabricated offense of erecting a temporary structure. The party clarifies that the structure was built on the basis of a decision by the Municipal Council, the approved work program, the public procurement program, and funds secured from the municipal budget. “He did not build the barracks for his children and family, but for the citizens of Karposh,” GROM stated.
The party assesses that, in the case of Stevce Jakimovski, the court has clearly proven itself as a para-political organization that, according to them, does not serve justice, laws, and the Constitution, but the ruling political party. They add that it is regrettable that, alongside Hristijan Mickoski, the judicial system is also participating in the silence towards their leader Stevce Jakimovski.
