The summer heatwave can bring various health problems, and one of them is heatstroke. According to doctors in the polyvalent emergency unit at QSUT, no cases have been recorded so far, but this condition has appeared in other summers. Meanwhile, as the number of daily emergency cases has risen above 400, most patients are people with chronic illnesses.
Public Health specialists are urging everyone to be careful, while the elderly, chronically ill patients, pregnant women and children under 5 years old should take even greater precautions.
