During an environment-focused event at St James’s Palace, King Charles found himself facing the intense heat that has gripped Great Britain.
British media reported that the historic building does not have an air-conditioning system. With the windows closed and the curtains drawn, air circulation remained limited, making the room extremely hot.

The event took place on Wednesday, a day when temperatures in Britain reached as high as 35.8 degrees Celsius. This was recorded as the hottest June day in the history of the United Kingdom, surpassing the previous record of 35.7 degrees, set in 1976.
To help relieve King Charles from the heat, the head of the Palace Service, retired admiral Tony Johnston-Burt, stood beside him with a small electric fan as the monarch spoke with guests during the event.
