LSDM accuses Finance Minister Gordana Kocoska of admitting that there is no money in the budget.
According to the party, the annual deficit projected in the budget was entirely spent during the first six months of the year.

As LSDM emphasizes, with the announced rebalancing, the Government is planning a further increase in the deficit, even though it had earlier promised to reduce it.
“This comes as no surprise. On the contrary, it is direct confirmation of what LSDM had been warning about since the very start of this Government’s term.
The real state of the economy, they say, is best felt by the citizens themselves. All they need to do, they add, is look at their wallets and refrigerators. What they find there is not a ‘third-ranked economy in Europe,’ but higher living costs, weaker purchasing power and growing uncertainty about the future.
LSDM believes that while the Government talks about successes and records, the budget deficit is widening, the state is sinking ever deeper into debt, and reforms are falling behind.
At the same time, they add that because of the standstill in European integration and the country’s deliberate isolation, investments, development opportunities and funds that could have helped the economy and citizens are being lost.
According to LSDM, public debt, which the Government had pledged to reduce, has increased by more than 2.5 billion euros in two years and has reached 11 billion euros.
They also claim that this money was not used for higher wages, for measures to help citizens and companies, or for capital investments, but ended up in VMRO-DPMNE’s criminal party tenders.
“After two years of triumphalist statements about economic growth, the truth is now clear and visible: with Mickoski and VMRO-DPMNE, the economy is heading toward collapse,” LSDM said.
