Resuming the Strategic Dialogue with the United States was one of the priorities highlighted by Lumir Abdixhiku, leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, during today’s meeting in Pristina with US Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Dick Durbin. He described the two senators as valued friends of Kosovo.

In a Facebook post about the meeting, Abdixhiku expressed his gratitude for continued American support and for the role of the US in Kosovo’s freedom, independence and state-building.
The LDK leader emphasized the importance of strengthening trust and cooperation with Kosovo’s main ally. He said deepening these ties requires commitment, responsibility and concrete steps.
Abdixhiku also addressed the place of friendship with the United States in the LDK’s political identity, describing it as part of that identity.
In this context, he stated that protecting and strengthening the friendship with America is an enduring duty for the LDK.
