“Equality before the law, respect for court decisions, and the accurate implementation of procedures are the essence of the rule of law. A person’s nationality and citizenship cannot serve as grounds for privileges or for a differentiated application of the law,” the statement emphasizes.

“As two neighboring countries with a shared European orientation, we have the responsibility to build our cooperation on mutual trust, respect, and legal coordination of high efficiency. This also entails the observance of legal obligations and the preservation of the independence of judicial processes,” the ministry said.

“The Ministry of Justice underlines that dialogue and cooperation between institutions remain essential, so that every open issue is resolved on the basis of facts, legislation, and international legal instruments. European values are not mere words, but constitute a concrete commitment. Justice must be applied to everyone, without distinction or selectivity,” the statement concludes.
