Police fined 102 drivers for exceeding the permitted speed limit during checks carried out yesterday across the territory of the City of Skopje.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the operation was conducted on October 11, from 14:00 to 20:00, by the Road Traffic Safety Unit.
The checks also uncovered three other violations of the Law on Road Traffic Safety. In addition, a person was penalized for driving a vehicle without a driver’s license; a criminal report will be filed against him under Article 297-A of the Criminal Code.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that violators will receive the fines stipulated by law. Traffic checks will continue in the coming days, while police are calling on road users to follow the rules and speed limits in order to improve road safety.
