Hurricane “Isaias” has claimed two lives in several areas of the United States after people were trapped by trees brought down by the force of the storm.

The situation is particularly concerning in Alabama, Florida and Georgia. Authorities in these states have urged residents to exercise caution, while Alabama has issued a warning about the possibility of tornadoes.
More than 850,000 people have been left without electricity in Alabama, Georgia and Florida. A state of emergency has been declared in all three states.
“Isaias” became the first hurricane of the 2026 Atlantic season. Initially, it strengthened to Category 3, bringing sustained winds of up to 193 kilometers per hour.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm “Rachel” is expected to affect southern California, while Hurricane “Simon” is forecast to reach Mexico’s Pacific coast on Sunday.
