The Alliance for Albanians has said it supports investment in restoring and promoting the cultural heritage of Skopje Fortress. However, in a statement, the party called for the new museums to avoid the practices of the past 24 years, during which, it says, the Albanian language has often been neglected and history has been interpreted one-sidedly.

ASH called for bilingualism to be fully implemented in names, information signs, exhibit descriptions, promotional materials and digital content. It also stressed the need for a scholarly presentation of history and archaeological evidence, without distortion or appropriation, and with particular attention to terminology.
According to the Alliance for Albanians, Albanian historians and archaeologists should have a meaningful role in decision-making, from developing the museum concept to reviewing and verifying its content.
The party urged VLEN to become involved in the process immediately, emphasizing that any inaccuracies should be prevented before the project is completed. The statement said Skopje Fortress represents a shared heritage and should be presented in that spirit, particularly ahead of Skopje 2028, when the city will be the European Capital of Culture. /Telegrafi/
