Mickoski: Polls show the opposition’s decline as accusations and insults fail to work

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said today that the latest poll, which puts him and OBRM-PDUKM well ahead of the opposition, reflects how citizens assess the work and policies of the rival parties.

After inspecting the final work on the museum buildings at Skopje Fortress, he answered a journalist’s question and described the poll results as bad news for his political rivals.

“This is bad news for those who chose to engage in politics through lies, slander, fabrications, insults and the like. That is how it will continue to be,” the prime minister said.

Mickoski said citizens know the opposition’s record and conduct, and that, in his view, this is why it is losing support.

“They will continue to decline because citizens know how our current opposition is behaving,” he said.

According to Mickoski, the opposition offers no concrete solutions or policies, focusing instead on criticism and accusations against the government.

“Those who had their chance for seven years but stole from and destroyed the country are now left with nothing but making up stories, slandering, lying and doing similar things. They will continue to lose until they become completely irrelevant on the political scene,” Prime Minister Mickoski stressed.
