Vetëvendosje MP Fahrush Rexhepi has reacted to the incident that took place today outside the Assembly of Kosovo, stating that an unacceptable act was committed against him by some protesters.
According to Rexhepi, the incident has taken on particular weight also because of his family’s history, as well as its contribution to the KLA war and to the process that led to Kosovo’s freedom.

“What happened today hurts me. Not only because of what happened to me, but because such acts do no honor to Kosovo, nor to the sacrifice of our people, nor to the values for which we fought,” he wrote.
The MP emphasized that, in his assessment, such actions do not honor even the persons in The Hague who are facing judicial proceedings.
Rexhepi announced that some of the identified individuals have requested a meeting to apologize to him, but clarified that this is not enough to consider the matter closed.
“Seeking forgiveness is each person’s personal choice, but this does not close the case,” he declared.
Likewise, Rexhepi claimed that the person who, according to him, gave the order for the attack has also been identified.
The MP made it known that he will refer the case to the competent bodies of order and justice.
