A few hours before the verdict is read for four former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Dutch authorities have significantly increased their police presence around the headquarters of the Special Court.

People who had gathered in front of the tribunal building were told by police to disperse immediately. In their official notice, law enforcement stressed that they will be forced to intervene physically if citizens do not comply with this directive.
“You are ordered by the police to withdraw from the court building. In case of disobedience, we will be compelled to apply coercive measures against you,” read the warning issued by the blue-uniformed officers.
Meanwhile, the atmosphere around the court perimeter has become more tense and, as a result, officers have increased patrols in the area ahead of the decisive hearing.
The court hearing during which the decision will be announced is scheduled to open its doors at 10:00 a.m.
