Ahmeti, a lawyer by profession with experience in public administration, has held various positions and most recently served as Director of Legislation at the Ministry of Finance.
He takes office as Secretary General of the CEC at a key time for the Electoral Administration, ahead of an election year and the intensive phase of preparations for the upcoming 2027 local elections.
