On the first day of these proceedings, the former president of Kosovo was the only defendant physically present in the courtroom. In this case, he is charged alongside Isni Kilaj, Fadil Fazliu, Bashkim Smakaj and Hajredin Kuçi.
On the second day, Thaçi also chose to follow the lawyers’ arguments remotely.
The five defendants face charges of obstructing the administration of justice in the proceedings in which Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi are accused of war crimes.
