This infectious disease is spread mainly through the bites of mosquitoes carrying the virus. The vast majority of those infected experience no noticeable symptoms or only mild discomfort, but in some cases serious problems affecting the nervous system may develop.

The Institute of Public Health is continuing its ongoing monitoring of the epidemiological situation and all reported cases across the country.
