Following the incident, the Tirana Local Police Directorate issued a statement clarifying the circumstances of the accident, denying reports that the collision occurred during a police pursuit.
According to the police, the officers’ vehicle was patrolling the area when it was struck by a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old identified by the initials R. T. The driver was traveling from the center of Kamëz toward “Berisha” Street when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle, causing the collision.
As a result of the accident, the two police officers sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for medical treatment. They are out of danger.
The 26-year-old was not injured and was escorted to the police station to undergo procedural procedures, while the Tirana police emphasized that the claim that the officers’ vehicle was involved in a police pursuit at the time of the collision was untrue.

The police vehicle, which was patrolling the area assigned to it, was struck by a vehicle driven by R. T., 26. While traveling from the center of Kamëz toward “Berisha” Street, he allegedly lost control of the vehicle.
As a result of the collision, two police officers were injured and are receiving medical treatment in hospital. They are out of danger.
