The brother of one of the three people arrested by police as suspected perpetrators of the wounding of brothers Elidon and Mario Shukulli, aged 24 and 20, on Wednesday evening in Sarandë, was also injured in an incident that took place three weeks ago in central Sarandë.

The August 29 stabbing was not made public, but the injured person was 21-year-old Ndriçim Bajrami, a person with a criminal record and the brother of the arrested man, Eduart Bajrami.
It is not known whether the August 29 incident is connected to the one that occurred two nights ago, but its alleged perpetrator is now free following a court decision.
According to sources, on August 29, 2026, at around 3:30 p.m., the emergency department of the “Petro Nako” Hospital in Sarandë notified police that a citizen had arrived at the hospital with an injury to the leg caused by a sharp, pointed object.
Police services immediately went to the hospital, and following the statement taken, it emerged that the injured person was Ndriçim Bajrami, who stated that the perpetrator had stabbed him in the leg for trivial reasons near Sarandë Municipality.
A short time later, the alleged perpetrator also arrived at the hospital. His name was not disclosed by sources. During a personal search, the Eagle Force officers found a black knife, as well as a quantity suspected to be the narcotic substance cannabis sativa.
Meanwhile, the injured man, Ndriçim Barjami, was transferred to Tirana for more specialized treatment and was out of danger. The knife and the suspected cannabis sativa narcotic substance, which was found to weigh 2.05 grams, were seized.
At the court hearing, the prosecution requested that the arrest in flagrante delicto of the person under investigation be declared lawful and that he be placed under the security measure of “house arrest.” The court, however, imposed the personal security measure of “obligation to report to the judicial police” once a month, on the first Monday of each month, at 9:00 a.m.
