After being reported missing for five days, a woman was found and rescued in Águas Lindas de Goiás, Brazil. She was allegedly held in isolation and chained, with her mouth gagged.
The victim was identified as 24-year-old Emiliane Tamara Nunes Carvalho, who was allegedly held hostage by her ex-husband, according to information published online.

When she was found, the young woman was in critical condition. Her mouth was covered, and she was bound with ropes, handcuffs and a chain wrapped around her neck, limbs and body.
Footage released by police shows that the 24-year-old was having difficulty breathing and suffering severe tremors.
According to her testimony, she had been kept under the effects of sedatives, physically and sexually abused, and forced to write a note asking her family not to notify the police.
The young woman also stated that during the abuse, the attacker had used acid inside her body.
