Eight police officers escorting a lone student was one of the scenes captured during today’s student protest in front of the Ministry of Education, where demonstrators called for the government’s resignation.
The protest began at around 2:00 p.m., when numerous students and citizens gathered together, calling for Prime Minister Edi Rama’s resignation and the fulfillment of a series of demands.

The rally escalated when the Ministry of Education was pelted with eggs, stones and other objects, resulting in several activists and students being taken in by police.
