The two senior officials from Washington were accompanied by the embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires, Bell.
During their stay in the capital, they first stopped for a meeting with President Justin Shiroka-Pula, and then moved on to a conversation with Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
Moments from these meetings were shared with the public through photographs, which were published by the US Embassy itself.
Senator Shaheen’s stay in Kosovo was also marked by a special recognition: President Shiroka-Pula awarded her the Presidential Medal of Merits.
This token of appreciation was given for the senator’s unwavering commitment in support of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as for her role in strengthening security, preserving peace, and promoting stability throughout the region.
The occasion was also used by the country’s president to call for the resumption of the strategic dialogue between Kosovo and the United States of America.
