North Macedonia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs said that yesterday, on 22.06.2026, an accident that occurred at around 11:00 on “Rashtanski pat” street in Veles was reported to the Veles Health Care Service.
According to the announcement, a “Volvo” truck with Skopje license plates and a trailer with Veles license plates, driven by S.D. (55) from Veles, struck pedestrian O.G. (54), also from Veles.

As a result of the injuries sustained, the pedestrian died at the scene of the accident, while his death was confirmed by a doctor from the Veles Emergency Medical Service.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that driver S.D. was deprived of his liberty, while an inspection at the scene was carried out by a public prosecutor and an inspection team from the Veles Health Care Service. By order of the public prosecutor, the body of the deceased was sent for an autopsy.
